We often hear this saying – “If the foundation is strong, the building is unshakable.” And that’s what ISA means to me – a strong foundation and beyond. My association with this school goes beyond being one of the toppers in Grade XII. It’s a place that helped establish my identity of who I am as a person – agile, adaptable, resourceful, leader and team player. These characteristics define you as a stakeholder in any organisation. It’s not always the academics that sets you apart from the crowd but it’s also the extra circulars that make you stand out. ISA gave me the platform to tap my debating, public speaking and leadership skills by way of numerous activities my teachers encouraged me to participate year round. After completing high school, I went onto graduating in BA Economics from Women’s Christian College, Chennai. While in college, I was the only Undergraduate student in India to be awarded the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship to complete my final year of graduation From university of latvia, Europe. During the graduation ceremony, I knew it was this very foundation that made me the first recipient of a gold medal in Economics In a then 97 year old Christian missionary institution. Currently, I work as an assistant manager in the field of Mergers and Acquisitions for a leading MNC. One key thing I realized is that It May not always be about being a specialist but it’s always about being resourceful. Upskilling is the need of the hour in order to ace challenges being thrown at you and excel in the same. It’s been 10 years since I completed high school and I am eternally grateful to the school and every single being who is a part of this institution for making me the individual that I am today.
